Abigail spoke to E! News on the red carpet at the premiere for her movie August: Osage County on September 9 at the Toronto International Film Festival:

The cast doesn’t recognize me! I was like “Hey guys!” and they were like, “Who’s this random girl crashing our photo shoot today?” I was in a supermarket and this girl was like, “Oh my gosh, that’s Abigail Breslin,” and her friend was like, “No it’s not, she looks nothing like that.” I was like, “Ok.”

Abigail spilled about her looks again to E! in August and said she’s surprised when people recognize her in general, just because it’s been so many years since her breakout role in Little Miss Sunshine back in 2006:

It’s always shocking when people do recognize me from Little Miss Sunshine because I look so different. It’s interesting because they’re like, “You just look so much older.” I’m like, “Thank you, I guess.”
